99 days

There are now, officially less than 99 days until our wedding! Am I excited? You're darn tootin'!

In but a few days, our lips will finally touch again.
We have not kissed for a few weeks now. It's not that we don't love each other or find each other attractive, no, nothing like that, it is a matter of purity.
In this day and age, it is acceptable behavior to have sex with lots of people and move in with a girlfriend/boyfriend. We feel that there should be a definite difference in a couple's life before marriage versus after. As the saying goes, "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?" Despite our views, we have had struggles with this. So, as a symbol and ever-present reminder that God wants us to be pure, we decided that we shall not kiss until we are husband and wife. Our first night as husband and wife is supposed to be one of the most intimate times in our lives. How can that be maintained if it is just routine intimacy? The phrase baffles me to write! When we give ourselves to each other, we are to be pure. I wouldn't want to offer anything less than all that I am to my wife. How sad I would feel if guilt was part of what I offer her! As people attempting to emulate Christ, we often fall short, but we know what is right and strive toward it. It certainly isn't easy, but that doesn't mean we can just give up.

That being said, be happy that our wedding day is rapidly approaching, no kissing makes us grumpy...

I am intrigued by your use of the word "few".

A few days means 99?!

A few weeks means 6?!

This is difficult but we will never regret it.

Well, I meant in the scheme of the rest of our lives, this is a short amount of time to wait....
