Seattle

Once we found out Tim had the entire week of Christmas off work, we decided a trip should be in the works. It's been a tough semester for me and it has been a huge adjustment for both of us to be married and living together. So, we knew we needed some quality time together away from everything.

At first we had decided San Diego. Then we decided we wanted something more epic. An airplane would surely be involved. So we thought big! (Which for me, was obviously Italy... but it wasn't meant to be yet.) We both though New York! Then we talked about what we wanted for a trip and decided we wanted something low key, just a nice little vacation where we could see a new place but not feel pressured to do a ton of things because we were spending a lot of money.

So, we landed on Seattle. Neither of us have ever been to Seattle, so we have no idea what to expect. But I have been encouraged by the few people I have talked to lately that have been there and said it was great. I am hoping it rains the whole time!

I imagine lots of walks in the rain, some morning coffee at a little shop, and finally having an excuse to wear these hats we have had for almost a year and have only worn when I was sick.

I've been to seattle twice, the first time in January when it was incredibly cold!!! bring lots and lots of socks, I think I wore 3 socks at a time and still wish I brought more with me for the trip. Definitely check out the fish market!!!!

Lots of socks is a great suggestion!

Any more recommendations?

I looked up airfares last week and it was super cheap. Plus, Tim gets some discounts through work on hotels... so we are hoping to keep in inexpensive.
